We’re excited that Sarah Wirein-Rudy is ready to take on our 7th/8th classroom (except for 8th grade math). 8th Grade math would be taught by our special educator Kirsten Smith. Sarah comes to us with 3 certifications; guidance, special education and elementary education. She received her teacher certification at Antioch (after having a career at PC Connection) so already understands project and place-based education. Her experience over the last couple of years has been in special education. During her guest teacher lesson with 5 of our students she had incredible rapport with the students. Sarah has already gotten training in our math curriculum and will have other days during the summer set aside to get up to speed with curriculum that Anne documented over the last 8 years. Welcome Sarah!
